Challenge

Jennifer Kincaid came to 1310 Studios to get the most out of a grant she was receiving for a website, business cards, stationery and direct mail pieces. She had to have her website finalized by a designated date in order to qualify for the grant. Kincaid needed a website that would showcase her work and provide some additional information. She needed a site that reflected the spirit and style of her art.

Solution

1310 Studios first consulted with Jennifer Kincaid, visiting her local studio to get a feeling for her work and discuss her stylistic preferences. The end result was a cohesive brand that felt like Kincaid’s work. Simple and powerful. A background texture taken from one of her actual pieces was used on the web and in her stationery system. The direct mail pieces and home page of the web site used artfully cropped images of Kincaid’s work for a dramatic effect. A light textured color married with a rich black formed a color pallette for all the pieces that created interest while letting her work shine through as the focus.
