Liveoak Orchids

Challenge

Liveoak Orchids is an orchid grower in Savannah, Georgia that also owns retail locations. Their stores sell jewelry, pots, garden products, specialty goods and gift items in addition to orchids. They needed a logo and business cards for their main location as well as their sister store, The Silver Slipper, located in downtown Savannah. The Silver Slipper was a unique joint business venture that offered fine silver from another vendor alongside Liveoak’s orchids.

Solution

1310 Studios created an friendly main brand with earthy muted colors that interacted well with the bright flower driven photography used in collateral. The logo featured a simple crest with a dendrobium, the most popular orchid. A stationery system was designed to use textured papers in earthy hues and featured job titles like “plant manager” and “orchid lover.” The Silver Slipper sub brand combined the imagery of an orchid and silver spoon for a truly unique mark. Custom signage was created that hung above the downtown store’s location.
