3 Part Ad Campaign for Casual Living, Matching Email Campaign

SCHOU Furniture needed an ad campaign that would get them noticed in Casual Living. Their brand message was solid, but they needed to update their prior campaign to something that had more impact and really showcased the furniture. A main message could still play a part in the new ads but wouldn’t be the sole focal point.
1310 Studios started by using their red brand color in a whole new way. Typically used as an accent we found its new role as a dramatic backdrop for furniture silhouette shots. Where as the past campaign emphasized SCHOU’s variety of pieces by scaling all the furniture items the same, we created a campaign that championed single pieces within the SCHOU Collection. A number of additional pieces were still used within each ad but the scale of the highlighted piece created a dramatic effect. We used a copywriter to develop three new headlines that would further their brand message and pair well with the chosen furniture. The result was an incredible success. SCHOU was so pleased with the results that they recently updated their website to match the new look.
